WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect model.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enhancements.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities and can be accessed anytime to upgrade your gear. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the item level, but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgrade rs NPCs for various currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of button, which will show a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.
Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain an entirely new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade are acquired via various methods, which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This applies even if those items are from another set of equipment.
The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available once certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
Players have several options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. They can make use of Flightstones, which are a general upgrade currency that is accessible to everyone players, or crests, which are more specialized and are consumed during upgrades on specific levels of the item. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to gear of a certain rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests depending on the type of equipment being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in all difficulties to get equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader for the item, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and paths.
The use of these currencies isn't too complicated, but the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
It's also important to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. For instance it's best to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment available and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan on making. This is especially relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill several slots. The discount for the entire account will only apply when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
